Nämä ylläolevat on maalattu varhaiskeskiaikaisten kuvamallien mukaan, mukaillen.
Tässä kokoelma erilaisia, pääosin portugalilaisista azulejo-kaakeleista jäljennettyjä. Mittakaava näkyy tulitikkuaskista. Anna lapselle elämä - jotenkin sopii tilanteeseen, kun olen vihdoin päässyt leikkimään tällä nukkekodillani.
Näissä useampi yksilö muodostaa kuvion.
Askartelumassasta veistelin tällaisia pikku purnukoita, ja maalasin edellä mainitulla maalilla. Kobra-lintukäärme on Joonan muovailema ja minun viimeistelemä.
In English:
Rain is keeping me away from the studio, but the tiles are nice home work. At a hobby crafts shop I bought some glass mosaic pieces, sized 2 x 2 cm. I've painted them with Pebeo's Ceramic paints. (Regardless of the shopkeeper lady's advice: she said they are not ment to be painted, and are supposed to be white! :D Such a Messenger of Creativity!)
The tiles in the first picture are painted after Early Medieval Designs I found in a British Museum Pattern Book.
The next one is a collection of Portuguese azulejo tiles. The match box is there for the scale.
Some of the patterns are formed by putting several tiles together.
These small vases and sculptures are made of modelling clay and painted with the same paint as the tiles. The cobra-bird-snake was shaped by Joona and finished and painted by me.
I've already fallen in love with my OptiVisor Binocular Magnifier! With it I can see what my small fingers are working with. :)
